About The Event

The PIERR is participating in a hybrid side-event at the Human Rights Council's 57th Session entitled Toward ending immigration detention for asylum-seekers and refugees. It is being co-organised by UNHCR, the UN SRSG VAC, UNICEF, IDC and the Permanent Mission of Colombia. At this event, UNHCR will also launch the advocacy brief Unlocking Rights: Toward Ending Immigration Detention for Asylum-Seekers and Refugees.

 

It will take place on 18 September from 12:00-13:00 CEST. Interested participants will be able to join the event remotely via this link at the time of the event. Those based in Geneva, who have existing access to the UN Palais des Nations, may also choose to attend in person, in Building E, Room XXII.
