À propos de l'événement
The Platform of Independent Experts on Refugee Rights (the PIERR) invites members of civil society to participate in an in-person dialogue on the human rights of refugees and asylum-seekers in the Americas.
Held on the margins of the 197th Session of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR), this event will provide an opportunity for the PIERR to hear directly from civil society on key challenges, emerging concerns, and opportunities for engagement related to refugee protection and asylum in the region.
The discussion will feature Andrea Pochak, IACHR Rapporteur on Human Mobility, and Jorge Contesse, member of the UN Committee against Torture, participating in person in Panama. Additional PIERR members may also join online.
The dialogue will be conducted in English and Spanish without interpretation. Please note that this is an in-person event only. Please register here to access the Parlatino building.
