À propos de l'événement

Convened by the PIERR, the Permanent Missions of Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Switzerland on behalf of the Group of Friends of the PIERR, and UNHCR, this side event will underline the importance of collective responsibility and joined‑up action to advance the human rights of refugees and asylum‑seekers. With displacement rising and civic and humanitarian space shrinking, stronger convergence between human rights mechanisms and humanitarian action is critical. The session will explore how coordinated, people‑centred approaches can bridge gaps, strengthen accountability, and support refugees across the displacement cycle, while also launching the Group of Friends of the PIERR to deepen collaboration and drive rights‑based protection for people forced to flee.
