Evento paralelo de la CADHP 81: Protección de los derechos humanos de los refugiados en movimientos mixtos

From 17 to 21 November 2025, PIERR members Siobhán Mullally (UN Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children, who currently acts as the PIERR Chair), Gehad Madi (UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants), and Selma Sassi-Safer (Special Rapporteur on refugees, asylum seekers, internally displaced persons and migrants in Africa of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights), presented at the 14^th World Conference of the International Association of Refugee and Migration Judges (IARMJ) in Nairobi.

Given the PIERR’s mission to strengthen collaboration in promoting and protecting the human rights of refugees and asylum-seekers, engaging with the judiciary is essential, as judges play a pivotal role in upholding these rights. In this context, the IARMJ conference offered a valuable platform of connection between the PIERR and judicial actors.
